Edmonds, WA: Sendan seeds of Gary Baxter Smith and his students sprouted

At Madrona Elementary School in Edmonds, WA, Gary Baxter Smith had a workshop with 9 students, planting an assortment of seeds including persimmon, chinese date, japanese hackberry, chinese parasol tree, the holly and the persian lilac. Then, before any other seeds sprouted, Sendan seeds sprouted. Upstate NY: Tom Gilroy and Dr Patrick So's Japanese Hackberry seeds sprouted

It was as if the plant appeared overnight (the other sprouts that you see in the photo are randomly growing plants that I can't seem to identify yet. Here are the second batch of Round Leaf Holly pics. Two seeds have now sprouted. The first has 4 leaves while the other is really itty bitty but does seem to be growing as well. I circled and made an arrow to point it out :)" "HI Hiroshi! I've had more recent growth on my Round Leaf Holly! I'm attaching a few pictures. The leaves are shiny and they unfold as they grow. Upstate NY, Kathleeen Mahony's persimmon sprouted

"I looked at the bottom of my pot and found one sprout coming out the bottom so I decided I must have planted the seed upside down and have turned it around so that it is facing up.
