Joetsu city, Niigata Prefecture, Japan: Persimmon growing

「NY在住の砂入さんのツリー・プロジェクトで種が送られてきたには6月。7月に柿の芽が出た。その後丁寧に世話しつつ育ててきた。紅葉は室内で育ててきためか遅く、最近ようやく黄色から橙という感じである。また四枚の葉のうち、小さな一枚は飛んでいってしまって今は三枚しか付いていない。

今、砂入りさんのTreeProjectの個展(グループ展)がNYで開かれている。私のところの柿の芽が出た頃の緑鮮やかな写真も関連して展示されているようである。今日は、この橙色の柿の写真を掲載してその個展へのメッセージとしたい。センダンと青桐はまだ芽が出てきません。もうだめのようですが春まで水をくれ続けてみます。」
