Takako's Huckberry (Enoki エノキ) news.....!!!

Hi, Hiroshi,

I have a sad news to share with you today.

My Tree Project seed sprouted at the beginning of this April, but I found it down on the ground when I came home today... he didn't seem to be well at all.

I was so excited, especially after getting a toy street lamp last weekend, having it join the tree in the pot.
I was going to report to you about my bitty tree tonight or tomorrow with a photograph from this morning..

Maybe it was too much pressure for the tree that I was talking to him every day.
(Well, because, it didn't sprout for a week or so while I was looking at it really closely every day... but it did happily during my weekend Boston trip, when I was absent.)
Maybe it's like raising a kid.
Maybe I shouldn't have paid too much attentions like that.

I was so disappointed and couldn't do anything else when I came home tonight.
I will recover from this unfortunate event, and would love to try again if you would give me another chance.

So, will you please leave my name on your mailing list/waiting list for the Tree Project for another while...?

Sincerely sorry.

Takako Tanabe

HIBAKU GINKGO TREE IN ELEPHANT FOOT FOR "SOUND OF MUSIC" AT NYU

The show would be part of an emergency timetable of programs designed to "reassure" the public in the aftermath of the attack. An altered, simplified and popular version of the life of Maria Augusta von Trapp (1905 – 1987) is depicted in the 1965 movie musical The Sound of Music .
