sprouts keep growing , so we will keep it together, 

and we really think we have to keep it this way

 until we plant the little tree on earth next year

I think the tree sprouts are from seeds of these type of  tree, there were seeds in your envelope

the leave is long , not as the gingko leave that  opens in a square shape

I have a look at samples of leaves of Chinese hackberry ( scientific name : celtis sinensis )

and they look quite alike 

They are growing beautifully
