Minneapolis, MN: Paul Schmelzer's Persimmon and Round Leaf Holly seed sprouted!!

Minneapolis, MN: Paul Schmelzer's Persimmon seed sprouted on Sun, Jun 21, 2009 and I posted these extensive documentations by Paul. He also gave us a tip to get the seeds to sprout. It is a wisdom from his mother. If you would like to see more of his pictures, please go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/eyeteethblog/sets/72157618540377972/ Also, Paul writes about art and activism. His writings can be read at http://eyeteeth.blogspot.com/ "Hey Hiroshi, I got a sprout! I'm not sure if it's a Persimmon or a Japanese holly, though (it's kind of a big sprout, so I wonder if it's a Persimmon). A tip from my mom: if seeds aren't sprouting, put a plastic grocery-store bag over it after watering and put a rubber band to keep it on the pot. After a few days check to see if anything's sprouted. That's what worked for me." --- Paul Schmelzer Congrats, Paul!! A recent update of Persimmon sprout at http://www.flickr.com/photos/eyeteethblog/sets/72157618540...
