The poetry here is that here grows this little tree, who's genetics survived the man-made calamity of Hiroshima, thriving on a sunny windowsill in full view of Ground Zero. " Hey Hiroshi, We are pretty sure this is the Persimmon. It looks like a persimmon, doesn't it? Dont worry, he is planted in a pot with our avocado plant, and we keep them mostly inside." ---Max I am not sure if it is......the leaves look different, but congrats, anyhow....it is a beautiful sprout of something!!

Upstate NY, Kathleeen Mahony's persimmon sprouted

"I looked at the bottom of my pot and found one sprout coming out the bottom so I decided I must have planted the seed upside down and have turned it around so that it is facing up.
